Important Information About Diagnosis
The assessments and reports provided through this service form an official and recognised component of the multidisciplinary diagnostic process for autism and other neurodevelopmental conditions.
As an Advanced Behaviour Analyst with over 10 years of clinical experience, I routinely work as a valued member of multidisciplinary diagnostic teams alongside paediatricians, psychiatrists, speech pathologists, and occupational therapists. When you book an assessment with me (e.g., ADOS-3, ABAS-3, Vineland-3, VB-MAPP, or comprehensive functional behaviour assessment), the resulting report is written in the format expected by diagnosing specialists and meets the evidence standards outlined in the National Guideline for the Assessment and Diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorders and the NDIS Access criteria.
These reports are designed to be submitted directly to your paediatrician, psychiatrist, or approved multidisciplinary team, who will integrate my findings with their own clinical evaluation to reach a formal diagnosis. In many cases, the tools I administer (particularly the ADOS-3 and adaptive behaviour assessments) are considered core required components of the diagnostic process.
In short:
- I do not provide the final diagnosis myself.
- I do provide the specialist-level assessment and reporting that forms a mandatory part of the diagnostic pathway in Australia.
This collaborative approach ensures families receive timely, high-quality evidence from an experienced clinician while still meeting all regulatory and medical requirements for formal diagnosis.
