We teach kids self-regulation techniques, showing them how to manage their emotions through breathing, the Ron Davis dial, sighing, release exercises, and various other techniques.<\/span><\/p>

Throughout Terms our program delves into specific emotions (Happy, Sad, Angry, Frustrated, Brave, etc.) each week, using mindfulness practices and creative arts and crafts. We encourage kids to express and understand their emotions by identifying where and how they feel, gaining insights into others’ emotional experiences, and recognising that others may feel differently.<\/span><\/p>

We utilise interactive play for part of the sessions, helping kids process emotions and self expression through Play. We explore various emotional scenarios, promoting positive ways to handle emotions, based on behaviours we discover. This supports children with social skills in understanding how their emotions can influence friendships.<\/span><\/p>

We apply these acquired skills to develop social skills. The program explores how emotions and behaviours can support friendships, offering valuable insights for establishing and maintaining healthy connections. Kids learn effective strategies for managing emotions and behaviours, fostering positive social interactions. They develop skills in making new friends, maintaining friendships, and navigating differences and conflicts.<\/span><\/p>

This program is ideal for children who might initially feel hesitant about group activities or after school programs, as feedback from parents and children consistently reflected their excitement and eagerness to participate in the program every week.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>
